The stove is your friend.
As are the grill, the griddle, wok, and the Fry Daddy (which may even be your number one).
But sometimes, for whatever reason, the pilot light goes out. The charcoal won’t smolder. Someone can’t stand the heat and gets out of the kitchen.
In the event of any of the above, Rawvolution, the newly opened raw food cafe, will be there for you. All their tasty dishes — like tapenade-stuffed shiitakes, mock “chicken”sandwich, and Greek pizza — are enzyme-rich and animal product-free. The lunch special (one entree and two sides) will set you back only $13, and dinner (one entree and three sides) is just two dollars more.
Order The Box ($100 worth of prepared, organic raw dishes), take it home, and you’ll get out of cooking eight to ten meals per week. And when you feel ready to flex your culinary muscles once more, take one of owner/chef Matt Amsden’s cooking classes. Soon enough, you’ll be stockpiling your own stash of raw vegan meals. And he’ll have been happy to help you back on your feet.
